FrostyTools is built for live creators and the communities they stream with. When FrostyTools uses AI, it should be visible, controllable, respectful of creative work, and measured against its climate and energy impact. This page lists where AI appears, what each product reads and writes, what FrostyTools will not generate, and the benchmarks we use to keep improving.
The Frosty AI Scale
The scale is intentionally small. It tells you whether a product uses no AI, analysis-only AI, generative text AI, or a class of generation FrostyTools does not use.

Non-Generative AI Analysis
Measures what already happened — chat reactions, audio peaks, scene changes, channel matches — and returns timestamps and rankings. It generates no text, images or audio.

Generative Text AI
Generates text from public chat content you authorize and public Twitch profiles. Always public-facing, always with your permission. You can turn this feature on or off at any time in your dashboard.

Generative Images and Video
FrostyTools does not generate images, video, or artwork in its output. You will never see generative art landing in your stream. While we are innovators and creators who love new technology, we are equally passionate about protecting our community of amazing humans and their creative works.

Climate
FrostyTools operates on very thin margins and we are deeply committed to being socially and ecologically responsible. All Benefactor plans and token purchases support carbon removal through the Stripe Climate Initiative. Free plans carry no climate contribution with free usage subsidized by Benefactors. If you are using a FrostyTools Free Plan, please consider becoming a Benefactor to help offset your carbon impact.

A three-hour broadcast to 200 viewers costs about 49 kilowatt-hours. Frosty's typical text generation across that same stream costs about 1.9 watt-hours. The stream burns Frosty's entire three-hour total every half second. Internal auditing records the tokens in and out of every AI request, so Frosty's figure comes from more than a million real generations, including failed attempts.
